A Note on Selecting the Right Ring Size
A perfectly fit ring can bring such joy.
Finding a ring that fits comfortably is a personal experience influenced by more than just a number. Because my rings are handmade, I encourage consideration of certain variables before choosing one, as the way a ring fits can vary throughout your daily life and across the seasons. A proper fit should feel secure without pressure—snug enough not to slip off, yet never uncomfortable.
Several factors naturally affect how a ring feels on your finger:
Altitude
Our hands tend to swell at higher altitudes. A ring that feels secure in the mountains may fit more loosely at sea level. If you travel between elevations, you may notice this change in the ring’s fit.
Band Width
Narrow bands sit comfortably in the crease of the finger, while wider bands must lay upon the thicker part of the finger. Because of this, wider bands often require a slightly larger size to achieve the same comfort.
Temperature & Seasons
Warm weather encourages the body to retain more fluid, causing fingers to swell. Rings may fit more snugly in the summer and feel slightly looser in colder months.
Diet & Lifestyle
Certain foods, beverages, and physical activities can influence water retention, temporarily changing the size of your fingers and how a ring rests on them.
Because these everyday-life variables, the ideal ring is one you can enjoy with some flexibility. I kindly ask that you consider purchasing one of my handmade rings only if you are comfortable wearing it on more than one finger when needed. If you prefer a ring that must always fit a single, specific finger without variation, my pieces—crafted individually and designed to live with you—may not be the right choice.
My goal is for your ring to be worn often, loved fully, and appreciated as a piece that moves gracefully with you.
