1. Sleeping Beauty turquoise, mined in Globe, Arizona, was celebrated for its vivid sky-blue tone and minimal matrix. When the mine ceased turquoise production in 2012, the supply of this iconic gemstone became limited, making authentic stones increasingly rare and prized by collectors and jewelers alike.
2. One earring has 12 beads and the other 13. I select the beads based on the quality and richness of the color. The beads on the 12-bead earring ended up being fractions of a mm larger than the beads on the other. My goal was to have the two earrings ultimately the same diameter/circumference so they are balanced. They just ended up with these numbers of beads. This detail seems to be significant for the Owner of these earrings.
